III - PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

VI - EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES

Harmful contact will not usually cause immediate pain - seek medical attention.

Eyes:  May cause chemical burns, depending on concentration and length of exposure.  Immediately flush eyes with water while forcibly holding eyelids apart to ensure complete irrigation of all eye and lid tissue.  Apply generous amounts of Calcium Glucomate in saline solution.  Get medical attention immediately.

Skin:  May cause chemical burns, depending on concentration and length of exposure.  Flush skin thoroughly with water.  If redness appears get medical attention.

Inhalation:  May damage airways and lungs, depending on amount and length of exposure.  Remove to fresh air.  Get medical attention.

Ingestion:  Rinse mouth at once and spit out rinse, then drink 1 or 2 large glasses of milk or water.  Do not induce vomiting.  Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

WHEN IN DOUBT AS TO NEED FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT CALL A POISON CONTROL CENTER OF PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY.

VII - SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

Use proper protective equipment.

For cleanup, rinse small spills to drain with plenty of water.  For large spills, dike or dam, mop or pump to containers or soak up with inert absorbent.  Neutralize with soda ash or lime, flush residue with lots of water and rinse area thoroughly.

For waste disposal, consult state and local authorities for restriction on disposal of chemical waste.  Unused product as a waste is considered Corrosive by RCRA criteria; used product is not Corrosive by the same criteria.

VIII - PHYSICAL AND FIRE HAZARDS

Stability:  Stable

Conditions to avoid:  Do no mix with chlorine bleach, strong alkalies or other cleaning products;  avoid extreme heat, contact with aluminum.  May product flammable hydrogen gas on contact with certain metals.

Flash point, autoignition temperature, flammable limits in air:  N/A - Not combustible.

DOT Class #55 - Cleaning Compound

IV  -  HEALTH  HAZARD  DATA

Route(s) of entry:  Inhalation, skin, ingestion

Health hazard:  Acute:  Irritation to skin, eyes, lungs

Chronic:  Not normally a hazard

Contact with cut or abraded skin will cause irritation.

Other signs of overexposure:  Headache, dizziness, drowsiness

V  -  PRECAUTIONS  FOR  SAFE  HANDLING  AND  USE

Don't make more than needed for immediate use in wetting the floors to be cleaned.  Mixing more than necessary and discarding the excess is uneconomical as well as unsafe.

Provide good general room ventilation when using product.  If sharp, acrid or objectionable odor is noticed while using product, mixture is not dilute enough or there is inadequate ventilation--discontinue use immediately, check with distributor or pHluorus before continuing use.

Do not use without diluting at least 6 parts water to 1 part cleaner concentrate.

Avoid skin contact, rinse eyes immediately and seek medical attention if splashed in eyes.

Automatic proportioners recommended to reduce possible exposure to undiluted product.  Use rubber gloves and goggles if mixing undiluted product manually.

Do not use for cleaning windows, glass or walls.  Do not use in amount or in situations where the product could splash or leak onto equipment, food or personnel.

For waste disposal or if a spill occurs, mop up with water or rinse to drain with sufficient water to rinse and dilute, or neutralize with soda ash or lime.

Keep container closed when not in use.  Store and/or ship in DOT approved plastic containers, away from heat.  Avoid damage to container.
